Activities
Luigi Rota Caremoli has been professionally involved in golf for over 45 years and has specialized in golf course design, remodelling and development in Italy and abroad for over 27 years.
Luigi Rota Caremoli has a long experience in golf management and he has been “site consultant” for renowned international architects.

Professional experience in developing, planning and golf course management
• In 1963 he began working in the secretary’s office of Bergamo Golf Club, then moved to England to attend training courses on golf course construction and maintenance.

• In 1970 he returned to Italy and at the age of 25 years, he supervised the building of his first golf course.

• In 1971 he was appointed Technical/Administrative Secretary of Villa d'Este Golf Club (Como) where he stayed for over 20 years while designing and managing other golf courses.

• He is high specialized in national and international golf issues and has played golf for over 45 years. He was International Adjudicator of the Italian Golf Federation for 15 years; founder of the Italian Association of Golf Secretaries and for many years he has been Secretary and V. President; he has been member of the Association of Golf Course Superintendents of America since 1972.

• He has designed a number of golf courses for international championships, Opens and national championships. He was commissioned twice to remodel and plan the golf course for Germany’s most important championship “The German Master”.

• He was a member of the Managing Commission of the following golf projects: Golf Acquabona, Golf Modena, Golf Tolcinasco, Golf & Country Valcurone and ha sled the opening of many clubs on a technical and sporting level.

• In 1985, he was awarded the title of “Cavaliere della Repubblica” by the Italian President for his achievements in golf development.

• He has taught at the Agrarian College of Monza for 17 years for the course “Turf design, development, management ad maintenance” and he has been asked to take courses on turf management in various colleges in Italy. In 2001, he was lecturer at Turin Polytechnic for the sports engineering course on “GOLF COURSE DESIGN AND WORKING STRATEGIES”.

• He has written many articles on golf course design and construction.

• In 1983 he founded Golf and Gardens S.r.l. specialized in golf course design, development and management of golf courses.

 
Attivita’ di progettazione  e direzione lavori

• He has planned and supervised the construction of over 25 golf course, some of which are considered the most beautiful in Italy as mentioned below.

• He has remodelled a course in Germany for The German Master.

• He developed six 18 holes courses with renowned international players.

• He has worked in France, Germany and the Caribbean where he is developing a project of an 18 holes resort.
